Strategic Tour 2026: Advancing CNG Infrastructure and Energy Logistics in Nigeria

Itinerary 1: Meeting with Mr. Michael Osime Chairman of Edo & KOKO Refinery

Discuss the the future trends of the natural gas-related industries and the possibility of continued cooperation.

Itinerary 2: Meeting with Heirs Energies Limited

The three parties held in-depth discussions on downstream CNG/LNG business cooperation and expressed interest in relevant project opportunities at the 15MMSCFD. The talks focused on issues such as the overall project delivery cycle and synergistic effects on the energy supply chain, aiming to further enhance the stability and flexibility of natural gas supply through strengthened cooperation.

Both parties agreed that this cooperation will effectively promote the improvement of regional natural gas infrastructure and supply chain optimization. By integrating resources and improving operational efficiency, they will jointly build a safer, more efficient, and sustainable energy supply system. In the future, both parties will continue to deepen strategic alignment and actively explore innovative cooperation models in areas such as transmission and distribution optimization and terminal services, injecting new impetus into ensuring energy security and promoting low-carbon transformation.

Itinerary 3: Visit PCCS & Wukong Auto Shagamu Logistics Base

Visit to the Wukong Auto logistics base provided an on-site inspection of its construction and operation. The base's manager provided a detailed overview of its current facilities and ongoing projects, including office buildings, dormitories, and production workshops, showcasing its robust scale and standardized development.

Manager Cao Shan highlighted the base's CNG/LNG business model in the Nigerian market, as well as the achievements of its collaborations with local companies in areas such as earthmoving transportation. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on areas of business convergence, exploring potential cooperation opportunities in energy supply chains, logistics support, equipment collaboration, and localized operations.

This visit served as a bridge for practical collaboration, further clarifying the path to resource complementarity and synergistic development. Moving forward, both parties will maintain communication, actively promote the implementation of cooperative projects, jointly expand the Nigerian and surrounding regional markets, and contribute to improving supply chain efficiency and market competitiveness. This exchange further strengthened mutual trust and laid a solid foundation for future multi-level and multi-form cooperation.

Itinerary 4: Visit the future CNG mother station site

Communicate about the future site selection and planning of the CNG mother station.

Itinerary 5: Visit Dongfeng Service Center

Professor Liu Mingxing along with representatives from China Gas, PCCS, and Dongfeng Service Center, engaged in in-depth discussions on core issues such as oil and gas industry data, transportation cost management, safety challenges, and clean energy transition. These discussions focused on the rapidly growing energy and logistics market opportunities in Nigeria and the comprehensive service network already established by Dongfeng heavy-duty trucks in the country. The aim was to explore more efficient and reliable localized energy logistics solutions.

Dongfeng has made strategic localization efforts to adapt to the Nigerian market. Currently, Dongfeng has established service centers in five key cities in Nigeria: Lagos, Benin City, Enugu, Kano, and Abuja, forming a service network that covers the major economic regions of the country and provides a 6-hour rapid response. This robust after-sales support system is the cornerstone supporting the high-intensity, continuous transportation operations of the oil and gas industry. This powerful service network has become a solid foundation for supporting the local oil and gas industry's high-intensity, continuous logistics operations and has directly contributed to a significant increase in Dongfeng heavy-duty trucks' market share and customer satisfaction in the region.

The following factors affecting oil and gas logistics were analyzed:

  • Efficient transportation management model
  • Strengthening the security environment and supply chain security

This seminar not only demonstrated Dongfeng's long-term commitment to the Nigerian market, but also reflected its strategic upgrade from a "vehicle provider" to an "integrated logistics solutions partner".

Itinerary 6: Visit NNPC FUELBUDDY CNG Mother Station

We visited the CNG mother station operated by Fuelbuddy, a subsidiary of Nigeria's National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), in India, for in-depth investigation and exchange. This visit focused on the actual operation and market development status of CNG infrastructure, systematically acquiring first-hand operational data and experience to provide important empirical references and decision-making basis for the scientific investment and large-scale development of CNG mother stations in Nigeria and even West Africa.

The delegation toured the Fuelbuddy CNG mother station, observing the complete process flow and daily operations, including natural gas processing, compression, storage, and refueling. The station manager provided the delegation with a detailed introduction to the mother station's daily processing capacity, technical standards, safety management system, current market coverage, and its key hub role in the regional gas supply network, ensuring the stability and reliability of local CNG supply. The delegation was deeply impressed by the mother station's efficient, standardized, and safe operation and management model.
