Building on the successful completion of the inaugural "PCCS Natural Gas Project Industrial Technology and Operations Management Training Program" last month, PCCS is now preparing to welcome the second cohort of Nigerian trainees. More than 20 participants from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF), and 3F Capital Limited will arrive in China on September 25 and begin engineer-led instruction at Tianjin University on September 28. The rapid launch of this second cohort further validates the replicability of PCCS's systematic talent empowerment model.
The first training program, held at Tianjin University, saw participants complete nine core modules covering the entire natural gas value chain in six days of intensive study, building a comprehensive technical knowledge framework. Jointly delivered by senior professors from Tianjin University and veteran engineers from PCCS, the curriculum achieved deep integration of academic insight and industrial practice. Multiple participants noted at the conclusion that the content precisely addressed the real-world needs of Nigeria's natural gas sector, significantly enhancing the local team's technical judgment in project evaluation, regulatory standards, and commercial operations.
Drawing on feedback from the first cohort, PCCS has made targeted refinements to the second program, strengthening case-based teaching and interactive discussion while maintaining the full industrial chain technical backbone. The training will continue to equip participants with capabilities spanning engineering design, operations management, and industrial planning. Tianjin University will again provide top-tier academic resources, and PCCS's senior engineering team will share practical engineering solutions informed by the latest international project experience. Site visits will remain part of the curriculum, enabling participants to consolidate classroom learning in real production environments.
